The new 40,000-square-foot West Campus Plaza opens between the Bryan Center and the main quad as a larger gathering place for students, faculty, staff, and campus visitors.

Ground is broken for a permanent facility for the Duke-NUS Graduate Medical School Singapore, a partnership between Duke and the National University of Singapore. Admitting its first class in August 2007, the school will allow students to study a curriculum based on that of the Duke University School of Medicine.
